HOOD COUNTY AGAINST CRYPTOMINING

Marathon Digital Holdings’ 300 MW Facility

Originally built & run by Compute North, this 300 megawatt facility is behind-the-meter at the Wolf Hollow II gas/steam power plant.

As you can see from the photo of the site above, this extremely noisy proof-of-waste bitcoin processor is directly adjacent to residential homes.  The noise has driven away wildlife, driven up the cost of everyone’s energy bills, and driven the residents to the brink.  Locals complain of constant ringing in the ears, sleep issues, and even heart problems.

Marathon Digital Holding plans on expanding the site to 600 MW.

As you can hear from the video below, the noise pollution from the site is inhumane & unbearable.

NO TEXAN SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!

Hood County Against Cryptomining

Cheryl Shadden has been a Hood county resident for 40 years and has lived in Granbury for 30 of those years.

She formed the Bitcoin Noise Hood County group after Compute North built a crypto transaction processing facility across the way from her property.  No one was informed or consented to this project. No impact studies were performed.

The crypto “mine” can be heard up to 10 miles away.

"We are physically ill from the noise 24/7.

It permeates inside our homes"

Cheryl Shadden, 30 Year Granbury Texas Resident, Hood County
